About Stalham Community Gym

Health and Wellbeing for All

Stalham Community Gym is a registered charity (No. 1157745) and was officially opened  on 12th April 2010 although we had been running for a few years prior to that.

After running out of the Baptist Church in the high street we moved to a more permanent set up in The Poppy Centre at the Recreation Ground in May 2018.

Our Objectives

As a charity we have a number of objectives that we aim to meet within the local community, firstly we provide a health, wellbeing and fitness service to residents of Stalham and the surrounding area. Secondly we want to promote and increase community participation in healthy recreation by the provision of a community based facility that has a referral and rehabilitation link with local surgeries.

Management

The gym is run for its members by its members, with a voluntary committee overseeing the management and general running of daily tasks.

The gym is supervised by fully qualified trainers who hold  a minimum of a Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification.

Meetings are held monthly with minutes posted for all members to see, with any input and ideas from other members being greatly appreciated.

All members are welcomed and encouraged to attend the AGM and offer their skills up to the committee to help play their part in the future success of the gym.
